Eins First Night Out…

This is my second night shot with my Nendoroid and also it is the first for Eins. A big thanks to BD for sending me the link to my Olympus Camedia C5060 where I found the English manual (The default one that I got was in Chinese…) and this time round I played around with the Manual controls instead of the default shutter or aperture priority settings. Eins is equally excited as I am so here are her debut night shots! Hope you guys like em! So just me, Eins and a little candle for the night…(please don’t think of naughty stuff with the candles lol!!)

I just love that teddy bear…..

Well hopes you guys enjoy this little trip with me and Eins ^^ As I am still very new to my camera, I love getting some feedback as to how to improve my shots!

Till the next post!

    • Hehe ^^ Perv frog in action with the candles lol!!!

The teddy is my favorite prop from Eins!!! Nah don’t worry, she didn’t load any bullets during the ‘shooting’ ^^ Your are…’still’…..safe 😀

  1. Nice shots. Very warm and cozy feel. I have yet to try candle shots with toys. For one I don’t like to play with fire in door especially at my home. Btw the candle look like those that use for offering worship..

    • Thanks leon! I like playing around with light sources and yes, playing fire in door is dangerous, that is why i placed the candles on a metal tray just in case for safety precautions.

You are right ^^ Those are candles used for praying but they are leftovers which I used 😀 Luckily my grandma was asleep when I took those photos otherwise i’ll get those weird looks haha!!

  2. I’m not very good with night shots, but I can say that those photos are very well executed my friend 😀 I like the warm feeling created by those candles (that’s a candle right?)

    • Heh thanks!!! I love warm shots or like those ppl huddling in a corner during a cold night ^^ Yep those are candles that were leftover from my prayers! They don’t give off a lot of smoke luckily haha.

    • Camera skill plus one!! haha

One thing good about manual is that I can toggle the shutter speed to 1 and above. So even in low lighting I will still be able to take shots like these. 😀 Maybe i’ll hunt for those bulb things after May when i settle at my new place.

  3. Naughty stuff with candles?? That left me wondering… still wondering.
Anyway, good to hear about your new camera. I can expect more great stuff from you. 🙂

    • Heh thanks!! Actually i got this camera last year but felt I haven’t been putting it to good use!! DLSRs are very complicated to use but their effects are so much better for compact even if this is an old model 😀

  4. Your posion, every bit of it^^; This is a good year for me to be gettin some nendo’s since BRS Nendo has been confirmed, and I’ve been achin to get something with a gun or a handgun.

    • Oooh ^^ Nice 😀 Haha!! Oh thats on my get list if the price is right ^^ But seems like its gonna be one pricey nendo!! For hand guns alphard and cannan are good choices too 😀

  5. It’s a first time series : 1st outdoor and now 1st manual adjust for your night photos.
You did well and the rendered atmosphere is soft and warm. Coup de coeur for the last photo ❤
Personally for night photo, i lower the shutter speed at the maximum.

    • Merci Lylibellule ^^ Ah thanks for making the last photo a favorite choice of yours! For these shots i left them for about a one second to one and a half second. Also in part very inspired by your photoshoots so hopefully one day can achieve something close to yours!! Maybe invest in getting better lighting equipment too next time!

    • Whoa heh man welcome back haha 😀 Thanks!! Actually now that you mention it she does fit into the CNY mood haha. Must be the teddy bear ^^.

Hmm no new ones other than the dinner one though haha. Haven’t decide how she will come in with a certain other nendo hehe ^^

  6. nice night shots chubb 😀
I always have problem with night shots. Not enough light is ok, so the shutter becomes very slow, but then the photo color is not like the actual scene. Some parts even become very dark. Know any solution to this?

    • Thanks bro! Ah for DSLR they have this spot metering where I can tell the camera to use so that the photos will use that particular spot for the lighting. Maybe next time i’ll bring my cam down during future meetups to show you. Hard to explain like this lol!!!
