Nendoroid Saber’s first stop motion test!!

Haha this is my second stop motion šŸ˜€ Thanks for all the feed back on my first stop motion. This is a very intriguing subject and I have ways to go. But hope you guys like this short clip! I find nendoriods much easier to work with as a stop motion subject due to their stand šŸ˜€ Once i get more experience i’ll use back gundams ^^ Thanks for viewing!

Till the next post!

  1. Hey that’s great !! You already improved your technique a lot !!
Once you mastered the slow motion hidden ninja jutsu you’ll be able to do unlimited cute stories šŸ™‚
Can’t wait to see them šŸ˜€

    • Heh thanks for the compliments šŸ˜€ Made my day ^^

Now for that ninja jutsu don’t think that it will come that soon haha but definitely I’ll love producing more of this cute stories!! Love seeing my little figures come to life!

  2. :O so many frames. Nice effort! U must be really tired trying to take all the photos. And Keroro die for nothing. Nendoroid Saber is really violent in the blogsphere lol.

    • Haha i need a long shower after this man šŸ˜€ My back is killing me!! Thanks XD

Well lets just say saber got inspired by setsuna ^^

  3. Poor kero T_T
but I think nendoroid not fit for a stop motion they lack of articulation and you need to change their limb sometimes >_<

    • Ah yes poor kero but I do have the medic on stand by during the shooting šŸ˜€

Hmm what they lack for in articulation can be made up with their stability. As they are on stands its easier to move the around without toppling unlike gundams. Of course with good planning the limb changes can be minimized ^^

      • I think i would agree with moemoekyun there, nendroid doesn’t have a lot of articulation so the movement might seem a bit wierd but Congrats on your second stop motion hahaha i pity kero he doesn’t even have the time to think hahaha and you have improved a lot since your first video…mind teaching me the techniques ? hahaha

        • Ah but nendoroids have a very good stand to hold the figure up and its easier that way. For my gundam I couldn’t get them to stand properly at the first vid. So i prefer using them first to get more experience first haha!!

Thanks for the compliments! There are plenty of tutorials that you can find on youtube that will be better to explain than i can haha ^^ I still got a lot to learn!

  4. the force is strong with this one, i sense great things to come šŸ˜€

that was bad ass!!! not only did you get better with timing but your presentation with shots and camera movements was nice and dramatic. at this pace it wont be long before we start seeing full stop motion stories ^_^b

    • Haha those fews days of watching other ppl’s works really paid off! Thanks man šŸ˜€ Now all i need are to get some of those sound effects to add in to make it better!!!

I don’t want to get too ahead man XD Figure stories will still stay in the traditional photography for now … too many kits to work on at the same time!!

  5. The “sword throwing” is kinda off angle but otherwise great improvement! Looks like chubbs will get 1/100 of that god-like skill real soon… O_O

    • Ah yes, its looks off angle but at it hit its target lol! I reworked that next time on the next one šŸ˜€

now maybe just 1/144 (hmm this number looks familiar) of that godlike skill only šŸ˜›

  6. Can’t watch any vid from youtube until 00PM, I’ll wait until then.
I will try stop motion this weekend,… if I could make it true šŸ˜€
Already have a set of mind, gotta look for decent effect.

    • Haha thanks šŸ˜€ Can’t let our nice little nendo get harm in anyway especially Saber when it comes to you haha šŸ™‚ I’ll try to do a bit more featuring nendo’s first, lvl up then move to gunpla šŸ˜€

    • Hehe thanks man x 10!!!

I put the sword on the floor and then took like 2 -4 pictures. But i put the speed at the fastest for just those few shots. So it seems like it is flying ^^

Anyway this is the tutorial that i learned from

  7. sorry to double post.. have you started your own Youtube channel? that would be a good idea if you plan on making more videos like this. All the best !

    • Haha thanks! I have been watching a lot lately so kinda inspired and learned a lot from those videos ^^.

Saber always wins hehe šŸ˜€ In addition, keroro is such a nice target!

  8. Haha as promised I used a nendo for the second test hehe šŸ˜€

Thanks! Hopefully i’ll be able to make a full video after all the testing!! Next round unlimited blade works!!

  9. Very nice chubb! Your second try and the vid looks way better than the first already šŸ˜€

Your figure stories will never be the same anymore!

Poor kero, one hit killed by saber though he is riding a mecha šŸ˜€

    • Thanks for the encouragement man šŸ˜€ Haha well hopefully i’ll be able to bring my future stories to life haha but doing a full stop motion for the entire thing will be another challenge!!

Haha well Saber does have a knack for one hit kills šŸ˜€

    • Heh thanks!! Oh I put the sword on the floor and took a few shots like 2 -3 and then I speed up the frame for the sword throw really quickly so that it appears like flying!

    • Haha thanks man!! By the way do you have a link to your blog? thanks for coming back to visit my blog every once in a while šŸ˜€
